BAINBRIDGE – Today, Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14) issued the following statement regarding Memorial Day 2019, which falls on Monday, May 27:

“On Memorial Day, while we enjoy time with our friends and families, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country and all it stands for.  It is only right to give thanks to those who laid down their lives so that we could live freely. Without their sacrifice, America would not be the country it is today, where our rights are protected and we are lucky to benefit from liberties that are still not recognized in many parts of the world.

“And as we honor these heroes, we must also recognize there is still much to be done on behalf of our nation’s veterans.  I remain dedicated to ensuring we provide them with the support and care they deserve and have earned.”
