WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14) voted in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for fiscal year 2025 (FY25), which authorizes funding for our military, servicemembers and their families, as well as critical national security programs that keep America safe.

“This critical legislation lays the foundation to fully fund America’s defense needs, including a much needed pay increase for the men and women who lay their lives on the line every day for our country,” said Congressman Joyce. “As America faces unprecedented threats from foreign adversaries like China and Russia, this bill ensures we have the ability to effectively confront these emerging threats from all sides. Our brave servicemembers on the frontlines sacrifice so much for our freedoms and they deserve nothing less than what this legislation provides.”

In addition to the critical investments made in our military and national security, the bill also includes additional priorities championed by Congressman Joyce, including:

  • $25 million for the construction of a fire station at Youngstown Air Reserve Station
  • Wildlife Innovation and Longevity Driver reauthorization (WILD) Act: Reauthorizes the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program, which enables wildlife and habitat conservation in all 50 states and territories, and the Multinational Species Conservation Funds, which help conserve some of the world’s most iconic species, including rhinos, elephants, tigers, great apes, and turtles.
  • United States Foundation for International Conservation Act of 2024: Establishes the United States Foundation for International Conservation.
