Joyce Votes to Support Allies, Protect America
WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14) released the following statement after voting in favor of the House national security supplemental package. Specifically, he voted in support of H.R. 8034, the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, H.R. 8035, the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, H.R. 8036, the Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental, and H.R. 8038, the 21st Century Peace through Strength Act.
“While some House Republicans have played political games over the last two weeks, the world has been watching, including our foreign adversaries who would like nothing more than for the United States to default on our duty to support our allies.
“Today, was not only a vote to support our allies when they need it the most, but also a vote to protect America’s national security. China, Russia and Iran are anti-American regimes that have no intent of stopping their aggressions with our allies. They also pose a strong and dangerous threat to Americans here at home.
“While the time to act was weeks ago, this package provides the critical funding necessary for Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan to defend their freedom. Something every American should stand for.”
