WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14) announced his reappointment to serve as Chairman of the Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) Subcommittee on the House Appropriations Committee for the 119th Congress. Last April, House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole appointed Congressman Joyce to this role for the remainder of the 118th Congress. He will also continue to serve on the House Appropriations Subcommittees on Defense and Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development.

“I am honored to continue to serve in this pivotal position on the Appropriations Committee. As Chairman, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with my colleagues to bolster the strength of U.S. financial markets while ensuring fiscal responsibility. With a Republican-controlled House, Senate, and White House, I have no doubt we will advance a commonsense, conservative agenda using the power of the purse. I am grateful to Chairman Cole for his confidence in my ability to help guide our nation toward a more sustainable fiscal future,” said Congressman Joyce.

Chairman Cole said, “With more than a decade of experience on this consequential committee, Rep. Joyce’s leadership reflects not only strategic vision—but also the practical, people-first approach mandated by Americans across the nation. As House Appropriations Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee Chairman, Dave has ensured our nation remains on a pro-growth trajectory. Under his guidance, I am confident that he will continue to advocate for the responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. We are ready to get to work!”

The Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee has appropriations jurisdiction over a wide range of federal agencies—including the Internal Revenue Service, Department of the Treasury, District of Columbia, Judiciary, Executive Office of the President, Securities and Exchange Commission, Small Business Administration, Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Office of Personnel Management, and the U.S. Postal Service.

Congressman Joyce has served on the House Appropriations Committee for 12 years. For more information on the Appropriations Committee, click here
