Joyce Questions FTC Chairman Ferguson on Upcoming Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Request

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, House Appropriations Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) Subcommittee Chairman Dave Joyce (OH-14) questioned Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson on the Commission’s spending plan for the remainder of Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 and its priorities for FY 2026, including those related to enforcing antitrust laws and promoting consumer protection.

Ensuring robust competition is vital to fostering economic growth while also lowering costs for all Americans,” said Congressman Joyce in his opening remarks. “The American people deserve an FTC that sticks to its core mission of promoting competition and preventing fraud in the marketplace. Providing regulatory certainty and predictability to the private sector will spur on economic growth and benefit all Americans through more affordable prices.”
