Joyce Applauds Passage of Final FY26 Appropriations Bills
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14) released the following statement after supporting the remaining four appropriations bills that passed the House of Representatives. Together, the Fiscal Year 2026 Defense; Homeland; Labor, Health and Human Services, Education; and Transportation, Housing and Urban Development appropriations bills strengthen our national security, secure our southern border, invest in our healthcare systems, and support public infrastructure. The package aligns federal spending with the Trump Administration’s priorities, and now heads to the Senate for consideration.
“Passage of the final four appropriations bills is a major achievement for the House Appropriations Committee and the House of Representatives as a whole,” said Congressman Joyce, Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government. “For too long, we’ve relied on bloated omnibus bills and continuing resolutions that simply extend previous funding levels. By restoring Congress’s power of the purse, Members can make spending decisions for their districts and ensure federal dollars are directed to the programs and communities that need them most. I am proud of the funding I secured for OH–14, which totaled over $66 million. I want to thank Chairman Cole and all of my colleagues on the Appropriations Committee for their hard work to advance these funding measures.”
OH-14 Wins:
With the passage of these four bills, the House of Representatives has passed all twelve Fiscal Year 2026 Appropriations bills. With this return to regular order, federal spending no longer reflects Biden-era funding levels. Community Project Funding (CPF) is available through the regular appropriations process, giving elected officials a direct way to support programs in their districts. In Ohio’s Fourteenth Congressional District, Congressman Joyce secured funding for fourteen projects through these bills, investing more than $66.1 million to benefit local OH-14 communities.
