Congressman Joyce Releases Statement on President Trump’s State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14) released the following statement on President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.

“Last night, President Trump highlighted the wins of his administration and the Republican-led Congress for the American people. When President Trump was chosen to lead our country again, he promised to deliver a secure border, economic growth, and eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse from our government. Over the past year, the President and Congress have delivered on those promises, securing critical tax cuts for working families across the country, stopping the flow of deadly drugs like fentanyl across our southern border, and cutting bureaucratic red tape to unleash energy production, bolster housing supply, and increase military readiness.”

“While I am proud of our accomplishments, my colleagues and I know that there is still more work to be done. We must continue to prioritize lowering the cost of living and ensuring that the American Dream is attainable for all our citizens. While the previous administration’s policies slowed growth and set our country back, I am filled with hope and determined to continue this positive momentum from President Trump’s first year in office.
