Testimonials

"Dear Rep. Joyce,
I would like to thank and recognize Ryan Kelly in your Mentor office. Ryan helped with expediting my passport. I had a relative pass away in Toronto, Canada and I am now able to attend the funeral because on Ryan's efforts... Ryan was kind and compassionate - I felt he went above and beyond helping me secure my passport renewal in time to go to the funeral. I'd like to let you know that you have a special person working in your Mentor office. Our sincere thanks being sent to you, Dave and especially to Ryan for his kindness and help during a stressful and difficult time for me."

"Hi Dave......this is just a short note to notify you that I received wonderful and timely support from your staff assistant Edie. My wife and I planned a last-minute visit to DC with our oldest granddaughter the weekend of July 16-18 and Edie was so gracious in scheduling multiple tours for me and providing some valuable information. I had several administrative assistants through my work career and Edie would have been welcome any day of the week! Also, Ryan from your Cleveland office was very nice and welcoming and got the ball rolling very quickly with Edie in DC. [Their] level of customer service and satisfaction could not have been greater. You should be very proud of your support staff."

“I contacted your office to assist in a transfer from the Army National Guard to the Navy reserves. As a 13-year veteran of the military I foresaw the need for the assistance of your office early on in the transition process. I was put in contact with [your staffer] Devin and he was able to help every step of the way. I can honestly say without him I would not have successfully completed the transfer and would not have been able to continue to serve our country in the Navy.

He worked long hours reaching out to many people in every step of the process to clear up every issue that arose... Individuals like Devin within your office are invaluable, and truly care about the people they represent. I hope that my success story can be shared and help influence other veterans to reach out to your office if they have an issue that needs resolved.”

"Dear Congressman Joyce and Katie,

Thank you so much for your help! With your letter I was able to get my first vaccine... with the Geauga County Health Department at the Chardon YMCA.”

“I want to thank you for all your help your office has done for me. No complaints.

First, Ryan is excellent. And there was another man who corrected the issue right then. I know I’m heading to your office to personally thank them. Keep up the great work.”

“Congressman Joyce’s office, and Devin in particular, helped me resolve a 2-year issue with the VA. Individually, I had spent extensive time trying to resolve it with no success. As soon as I contacted Congressman Joyce’s office, they quickly got back to me, were extremely responsive, professional, and genuinely wanted to help after I provided them with necessary information.

Once they were involved, people were tripping over themselves to try and help me with the matter quickly being resolved. I can’t thank the Congressman, [and] his Painesville office staff... enough for all they did to conclude this matter! I would highly recommend reaching out to them if you are having difficulty with a government organization and aren’t able to make progress on your own.”

“I want to thank your Mentor office for tracking down my Passport. It seems like it was lost in the system, but Ryan tracked it down and had it sent UPS to me overnight. He updated me with emails and phone calls on the progress. Outstanding job.”

"My father served in the military in active duty for 3+ years and as a member of the reserves for 15+ years.  Despite going on to become a lawyer, his experience in the Marine Corps. defined his character and the remainder of his career.  He revered the Corps and his time of service.

My father contracted dementia during Covid. Because of visitation restrictions, my mother could not see him. He passed away this February. We were not able to have an in-person funeral.

One of my father's last wishes was to be buried at sea with full military honors. Due to closures at the National Archives, our family had issues getting the paperwork needed to initiate the burial process. Congressman Joyce's office helped us tremendously, cutting through the red tape. Instead of my father's legacy being muted by Covid, we are now able to celebrate his passing in the way he wished.

I want to give a heartfelt thanks to the entire office for your dogged efforts on our behalf. "
